HOW DO HACKERS HACK YOUR PASSWORDS?

Many of you might have been victims of your email accounts being hacked, or your Facebook password not working. This may be because your password might have been hacked by the Hackers.

Here I’ll tell you what are the different methods by which Hackers can get your passwords and also the preventive measures to safeguard yourself. By knowing how hackers can get into your account, you will be in better situation to understand what are the possible ways you can lose your account information and passwords & you can protect yourself from getting hacked next time.

1. Keyloggers:

This is one of the basic tool used for getting your passwords. Keylogger resides in your system memory and runs at every startup. These keyloggers log all the keystrokes you type. A log is created and then it is sent to the Hacker. Most famous keylogger is the Ardamax Keylogger. It can be customized so that it cannot be shown in “Processes” (Windows Task Manager).

2. RAT:

RAT stands for Remote Administration Tool. With RAT, a hacker can connect to your PC, without your knowledge. He can see what is going on the screen, what you are currently doing, which sites you surf. It also has the built-in functionality of keylogger. Hacker can copy files from your Hard disk to his computer, and all this without your knowledge. A good example of RAT is Poison Ivy. It can be customized to connect to your PC on a particular port number specified while creating the RAT.

3. Trojan Horses:

Now these are the most common type of malwares. Trojans spread through warez sites mostly. All of you want free softwares. Right? Beware though! When you download from warez sites, all the keygens and patches and even the original trial programs are trojaned. This means you will get the software for free. But your computer will be affected with a trojan horse. When you run the patch/keygen, you’ll get the desired output, but in background, your system gets infected with the trojan. Turkojan is a famous Trojan horse. A trojan is much more superior to keyloggers and RATs. It provides much more functions, so that a Hacker has more access to your PC.

How to protect yourself from hacking:

  •  Install a good licensed anti-virus. I suggest you go for Kaspersky. It’s the best anti-virus out there.
  • Always have your Windows Firewall turned on.
  • Never ever trust warez sites. There is a lot of malware flowing out there.
  •  Don’t run .exe programs given by anyone. Trust only yourself.
  •  Never auto-play a pen drive. By this, malware automatically gets installed on your PC.
  •  Don’t run attachments from emails.
  •   If you want to run .exe files safely, run them sandboxed. A free application Sandboxie is available for this purpose.
  •   If you feel you’re infected, format your PC immediately. No anti-virus can remove a Trojan horse   from your PC. It’s very difficult to remove a trojan from an infected PC.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR ONLINE IDENTITY

One of the most sensitive issues one can ever come across and should be aware of his/her online identity, even a common lay man using the computer for the very first time should be aware of this sensitive detail at all times. Usually when we are browsing the net, we come across different and very attractive sites that offer very captivating products and just for a mere amount of a single dollar or a couple of dollars, which is well within our reach to pay.

 1. Watch it….!

So the first thing that comes to our mind is why not purchase this item?  And as salient product has its formality forms to be filled in, we very willingly go head to fill those long forms. At the same time, we are giving our details such as complete name, credit card no., the credit card pin no, our date of birth, gender etc. But what we don’t know is that there are hackers sitting 24/7 on the net and looking out for the people who are giving out their personal details, just because they are excited to purchase the product.

2. Possible Damage

In other words, you are exposing yourself to the whole world, which can become one of your very haunting nightmares in broad day light when you come to know that you and your name is being used or implemented in a corruption case or you are a complete popper by the end of the day and this nightmare can carry on for months if you make the slightest slip online.

3. Hackers are getting smarter

When you are online and attach yourself to any payable link then you are linked up with the bank, or your internet service provider is tracking your every click and keeps redirecting you to pages where you have to keep logging in your information over and over again, on the other hand where you won’t see but the much advanced hackers can see your exact details scrolling down the screen.

4. Keep Security Measures

It is a good habit to install  spyware software, firewalls which prompt you before opening any and every site, also there are many anti-virus softwares that can be installed on the system that prevent you from logging onto any unknown site and will keep giving you errors when you click the go icon. Even when you are sending or receiving emails, your email downloads or uploads without any problem then it’s ok otherwise if you’re repeatedly being prompted due to errors in the same, then it is quite possible that there is some problem being initiated somewhere down the line someone is trying to hack whatever you are doing electronically.

5. Keep Updates

Always keep an anti-virus installed on your system. Always remember to keep it on while running or browsing the internet and keep an updated version of your antivirus or use such antivirus that keeps auto updating on the specific dates and time you have set. Don’t ever give your personal identity online while chatting, or give your personal details online for job purposes, as the same may result very expensive to your personal being at the end of the day. Use preventive measures and Happy browsing folks!

HOW 4G IS DIFFERENT FROM 3G?

Today, internet makes our life very comfortable and easy due to invent a new and very useful technology called ‘INTERNET’. We use internet for gathering information, social networking, searching jobs etc. According to traditional method, the internet speed is probably slower than now we get, because of innovation in recent technology.

Well, if we talking about 3G  technology than this makes change the life of internet, because of data transfer speed and many other good innovative ideas and services. Now we can watch online videos and songs very quick without buffering. But, innovation never stops.

Now talking about the new 4G technology, how 4G is different from 3G, well if we talking about the maximum speed in 3G, we get upto 56mbps and this is enough at the current time and usability of internet. While, in 4th generation, I mean 4G gives the speed of 100 mbps to 1GB per second.

The other advantage in 4G is the secure data transfer; because of it will fully IP-based. The other advantage of 4G is it gives helps in watching high definition video very comfortable. But in India, while the cost of 3G is not so cheap and the 4G is not yet available. We hope, we will definitely use a better internet experience in future.

WHO INVENTED FACEBOOK?

The History behind the number one social media network Facebook:

Facebook is a popular social networking website, whose name originated as the nickname of directories handed out to university students that aided in their getting to know their fellow students.

Hot or Not?

Facebook was invented by Harvard computer science student Mark Zuckerberg, along with classmates Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. The origins to the name hints as to the history of Facebook, however, the website was originally and briefly called Facemash. Mark Zuckerberg was a second year student, when he wrote the software for the Facemash website. Perhaps, it was Zuckerberg's sophomoric sense of humor that led him to create the site as a type of "hot or not" game for Harvard students, where website visitors could compare two student photos side-by-side and let viewers decide who was "hot" and who was "not". Mark Zuckerberg put his computer science skills to good use by hacking into Harvard's security network and where he copied the student ID images used by the dormitories and used them to populate his Facemash website.

Fashmash opened on October 28, 2003, and closed a few days later, shut down by Harvard execs. Mark Zuckerberg faced charges of breach of security, violating copyrights, and violating individual privacy for stealing the student photos he used to populate the site. He also faced expulsion from Harvard University for his actions. However, all charges were eventually dropped.

TheFacebook:

On February 4, 2004, Mark Zuckerberg relaunched with a new website "Thefacebook". Six days later, Mark Zuckerberg again faced trouble when three Harvard seniors, Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss, and Divya Narendra, accused Zuckerberg of stealing their ideas for an intended social network website called HarvardConnection, and of using their ideas for TheFacebook. Winklevoss, Winklevoss, and Narendra later filed a lawsuit against Zuckerberg, however, the matter was settled out of court.

Membership to the website was at first restricted to Harvard College students. Zuckerberg enlisted a few of his fellow students to help grow the website: Eduardo Saverin worked on business, Dustin Moskovitz as a programmer, Andrew McCollum as a graphic artist, and Chris Hughes. Together the team expanded the site to additional universities and colleges.

Facebook:

In 2004, an angel investor, Sean Parker (founder of Napster) became the company's president. The company changed the name from TheFacebook to just Facebook after purchasing the domain name facebook.com in 2005 for $200,000.

Mark Zuckerberg's antics finally did pay off when profits from Facebook made him the world's youngest multi-billionaire. Kudos goes to Zuckerberg for spreading the wealth around, according to the NYTimes, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg donated $100 million dollars to the Newark, New Jersey public school system, which has long been underfunded.

WHO INVENTED YOUTUBE?

YouTube was invented by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim.

YouTube was invented by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim out of a garage in Menlo Park. The inventors became millionaires when they sold their invention for 1.65 billion dollars to the search engine Google.

According to their fact sheet, YouTube was founded in February 2005, as a destination to watch and share original videos worldwide through the Web. Users can upload and share video clips on www.YouTube.com and YouTube enables video embedding that allows YouTube videos to be placed on non-YouTube pages.

YouTube Inventor - Steve Chen

Steve Chen was born in 1978 in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States when he was 15. He was educated at the University of Illinois and and after graduation found employment at PayPal, where he met his fellow YouTube co-inventors and co-founders Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. Currently, Steve Chen serves as the Chief Technology Officer at YouTube.

YouTube Inventor - Chad Hurley

Born in 1977, Chad Hurley received a Bachelors degree in Fine Art from the University of Pennsylvania and was later employed eBay’s PayPal division. Currently, Chad Hurley serves as the Chief Executive Officer at YouTube and is considered a whiz at user interface design. As a sidenote: Hurley designed Paypal's trademark logo.

Jawed Karim also worked at Paypal, where he meet his future corporate cohorts. However, Karim has also pursued an advanced degree at Stanford University and is considered the elusive member of the threesome. According to Jawed Karim the inspiration for YouTube came from the halftime faux pas committed by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, when Janet’s breast was accidently exposed. Karim could not easily find that video clip online and then a few others. Not a problem he would have today.
